Old San Juan

The allure of Old San Juan comes from its cobblestone streets, Spanish colonial buildings and breathtaking fortresses that take visitors back in time. Situated on a narrow island, it provides a historic and cultural tour into the heart and soul of the island. Notable attractions include the Plaza de San José, Casa Blanca Museum, National Gallery, Plaza del Quinto Centenario, Fort San Felipe del Morro and Fort San Cristóbal. Available through our Concierge located in our main lobby.

Fort San Felipe del Morro

Fort San Felipe del Morro or El Morro proudly sits at the entrance of the San Juan Bay. Built by Spanish engineers in 1539, El Morro was used by Spanish soldiers to protect the city from seaborne enemies. Situated on the northwestern most point of the islet of San Juan, El Morro is a six level stone structure complete with hidden passageways, impressive 60-foot stone walls, and dome-covered overhangs called garitas.

Ponce, The Pearl

Ponce is Puerto Rico's second largest city, second to San Juan. Ponce is commonly known as La Perla del Sur (Pearl of the South). Ponce was founded in 1692 by Juan Ponce de León's great-grandson - Loíza Ponce de León. The heart of Ponce dates from the late 17th century and has been declared a national treasure. It consists of plazas and churches and highly decorative colonial homes, some glorious fountains and a unique fire station.

You can rent a bicycle and go along a suggested route, or take a guided tour and enjoy some Puerto Rican history. When you are riding the bicycle, you get a breeze the whole time and you get to where you are going much faster than walking, so visitors can do and see more.
